katze und krieg are the two performance artists – katharinajej and Julia Dick - living in Cologne and working together since 2007 nationally as well as internationally. They are interested in playful interventions into grown structures of our society. katze und krieg crawl through the pedestrian area on all fours, till a passerby buys a bread to feed them. They are gallerists, cats, kings, youngsters, magicians, amazones, beggars and princesses. Playing with new characters they break existing structures of communication and behaviour, that also allows people around them to act different. They show us the richness of being and change in that way everyday-life-reality.
